Comfy Critters Pet Sitting is a boutique pet sitting company located in Central NJ. We are a small business that caters to our furry, feathered and scaly friends every need. Whether it be caring for your diabetic cat, taking your dog for a walk or driving them to a scheduled trip to the vet or groomer, each and every one of our clients is special and is treated like family.

Sherri Zwerko is the Owner / Operator of Comfy Critters and has a small staff of Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters. She established Comfy Critters in 2006 with many years of Pet Sitting already under her belt. Comfy Critters is based in South Plainfield NJ and has an approximate travel radius of 7 miles.

Sherri is a volunteer pilot for Pilots n Paws & loves doing rescue missions with her plane. Check out the Pilots n Paws tab at the top of the page for more details.

Our Services

PET SITTING

Pet Sitting visits are approximately 30 min. in length. We try to keep your pets routine as similar as possible to when you are home. Generally most people have 3 visits a day for dogs and one for cats. Comfy Critters requires DAILY visits for cats. We will not skip days for many reasons including the health and welfare of your pets as well as security for your home.

Private DOG WalkING

All our daily walks are private walks limited to one household. This service is for our Monday - Friday working clients who's dog is in need of a lunch time bathroom break. Times are generally between 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

OVERNIGHT PET SITTING

Overnight Pet Sitting, in YOUR home, is a great way to have your pets feel relaxed and comfortable all night long. We will sleep in the guest room, your room, on a couch or pretty much wherever there is a TV. We will snuggle with them like we do with our own pets!

Daily Check-in

We send daily email, text and pictures letting you know how your pets are doing while you are away on vacation, business trip or simply at work. We use Whatsapp as a platform for international travelers. If you have a specific app you'd like to use, please feel free to ask us if we can use it.

SPECIAL NEEDS PETS

Over the past 15+ years in the Pet Sitting business, we have taken care of so many senior and special needs pets its considered a niche for Comfy Critters. We understand that they require extra love and gentle care and will do whatever it takes to make sure they are well cared for, happy and comfortable while your away.

Diabetics & HOME TESTING

Sherri, having a diabetic Samoyed for many years, is very familiar with this disease. She will home test if required as well as abide by strict times as we know your sugar babies require extra love and attention. Please ask as many questions as needed to feel comfortable with my expertise in this area.

Sub-Q Fluids

We will administer Sub-Q fluids during visits at no extra charge. This may require a pre-visit test run to make sure pet allows administration of fluids without issue.

Pet SITTING

Pet Sitting visits are approx 3o min in length. We will walk, feed, medicate, clean litter boxes, take in mail, take out garbage, water plants and of course, give lots of love, hugs and kisses.

Overnight Pet Sitting

Overnight Pet Sitting is in YOUR home only. We will come to stay over approx. 10 p. m. and stay until approx. 6 a.m. I will break down the anatomy of an overnight. If we did not stay overnight, we would be going for a bedtime visit ($25), then we would be back the next morning for a visit ($25). That's $50 right there. So for us to stay the night, in reality it's only $50. ($50+$50 = $100)

30-Minute Daily DOG WALK

Let us take the worry out of your day with a daily visit to cheer up and exercise your dog. If you work long hours or have a special needs pet that needs a little TLC during the day while you’re at work, this is the perfect option for you.

Trip to Groomer or Vet

Let us pick up your pet for their scheduled trip to the groomer or vet. Price is based on one drop off or pick up. Round trips are billed as two trips.

15-Minute DAILY Walk

If your dog just needs a quick bathroom break, this short walk or quick playtime in the yard is perfect. This walk is reserved for our weekly Mon - Fri clients only.

Holiday surcharge

If your trip falls on a holiday there is a $5 fee PER VISIT for that day. Holidays Include: New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.
